This is about as light as a week can be in terms of economic data releases, and that’s just fine by me heading into the new year. Let’s get right to the last Week in Review of 2022:
Monday
Gas Prices
Gas prices fell again and are now down to $3.203 per gallon, the lowest level since June 2021.
Tuesday
Home Prices
Two measures of home prices—the S&P Corelogic Case-Shiller and the FHFA—came out on Tuesday. The S&P measure showed home prices fell 0.5% in October and are up 9.2% year over year, while the FHFA measure showed home prices were flat in October and are up just 9.8% year over year.
Wednesday
