If you were advising a city considering a moratorium on new data centers, what economic data would you put on the table to ensure the decision is based on facts rather than perception? What are communities most often overlooking?

I know you've said before it's a good time to have a job and a bad time to not. Well, I don't anymore -- I was laid off. The market seems very uncertain in my market-study-of-one along with a lot of anecdotical input, but the numbers don't seem to tell the same story. The numbers make it seem very business as usual. What is going on with employment in the U.S. right now???

With TSA numbers lower in 2026 than in 2025 and higher gas prices, how do you see domestic travel develop over the next 12 months?

"Aging in place" and a gray "tsunami" coupled with fast rising housing prices, etc. mean that we must do something differently. What are the "economics" of ADUs and other measures? How can we provide for individuals, young couples, etc. to be aligned with an aging population for housing needs?

Was trading Adley Rutschman to the Red Sox the saddest thing the Orioles have ever done? (Or is it just me?)

How does the potential AI "bubble" compare in size to the dot-com bubble? The numbers at play today seem almost too large to reasonably comprehend, and the investments in AI appear to expose every level of finance (equity, bond, private credit).

I thought the DMV economy would crater as a result of DOGE's DRP resignations, presumed migration out of the area, and some government contracts that were terminated abruptly in 2025. But it hasn't, or at least it doesn't feel like it has. Why not?

The population shifts fueled by remote work and unaffordability for certain states and locales are impacting the local and regional economies both for the areas of exodus and new landing zones for those moving. In the west, Utah and Idaho for example, these areas are seeing huge spikes in housing costs. These spikes are driving next generation residents to not be able to afford housing and may push them out of the area. Furthermore, natural resources (water) and infrastructure is struggling to keep up at times with the growth. What do you see happening with population and housing affordability in the coming years - stabilization, the balance swinging back the other way, etc.?

How do you believe artificial intelligence will affect the economy over the next three to five years, particularly in industries that rely on technical expertise and professional services?

I believe that we are creating a caste society. The tax reform that significantly increased the standard tax exemption reduced the tax incentive for home ownership - the wealthy will own property and build generational wealth, the others will be renters for life. And, expanding 529 accounts down to primary education (not just secondary) provides the wealthy (the better off?) with tax incentives/advantages to send their children to private school - further separating the have's from the have not's. Thoughts?

Kevin Warsh is on record that he prefers "trimmed averages" to measure inflation. How different are trimmed averages from other inflation measures? How could using trimmed averages impact fed decisions?
